From the makers of "SPQR" - the App Stores most advanced app for Latin students and teachers - comes a new game designed to help Latin students of all levels improve their language skills without getting bored.

In this game, its your job to find the letters needed to spell out seven Latin words hidden in each level. Well give you the English meanings of each word to help you along, but youll need to hunt carefully to match up the answers!

- Includes three difficulty levels: Easy (suitable for students at grades 7-10), Medium (suitable for students at grades 11 and above) and Hard (suitable for advanced learners or those who enjoy a real challenge!)

- Each level is carefully graded to focus on the most common and important words students will come across. For example, Easy has 50 levels that use the 350 Latin words that are most frequently taught to beginners.

- Includes over 1700 levels - thats almost 12,000 words and their meanings, ready for you to play!

- Use it on your own or as part of a classroom environment - iPad users can plug their device into a projector to share the game across the entire class!

- Available as part of Apples App Store Volume Purchase Program, which lets you save 50% off the price of any of our apps if you work at a qualified educational institution - see www.romansgohome.com/education for more information.

This game was designed to make learning and practising Latin fun - we hope you enjoy your time using it! If you liked this app, you would also like our other Latin apps: "SQPR Latin Dictionary and Reader", "Latin Wordsearch" and "Latin Hangman", all of which are available on the App Store.

Thanks for your Latin apps. Keep on going!!! I enyoy this one very much!
A good app for Latin students...
This game is well-designed and does not have any bugs I noticed. The creator clearly spent a lot of time assembling the vocabulary so every level contains a diverse set of words. My only problem was that I hadnt come across a lot of the words in the Easy section. The description states that the Easy levels have the 350 words most commonly taught to beginners, but Im thirty chapters into Wheelocks Latin and I havent seen many of these words before. The positive side of that is that I can learn more words (and I love learning new Latin words), but when half the words on a level are new, it can be difficult to find an answer. Sometimes, I choose random tiles until I find the word, but that defeats the purpose, I think. However, overall, I would say the game is fun and useful for those who enjoy learning Latin. Perhaps Wheelock is just not as compatible with this game as other textbooks (I havent seen any other books, so I cant say).
Needs work
Not fun...if you get stuck on first word, you cant skip to next word.
Excellent with room for updates
VAST and educational! Great app! Suggestions: expand Easy and Medium to 1500 lists (in app purchase?), fix typo in Hard list#105, add a review function (a chance to do flashcards), and move the Eugape! bubble out of the way of the 7th line. Thanks for another helpful app, Professor Hudson! BTW to other reviewer: to try a different word hit X to clear what youve entered.
Kind of silly
It would make more sense to have entire word available instead of parts. Learning world be more effective. As it is you hardly have any time reLating the words to each other.
